Yes, I have some good tips from Oxford. First of all, you should visit some University Colleges. Don’t miss Magdalen (I’m a member of this College for life; they pronounce it something like môdlin…) and Christ Church. It will be nice to have a stroll on the Christ Church Meadow on summer days. Don’t miss too Sheldonian Theatre, Bodleian Library, University Park (very nice place to walk on leisurely), Carfax Tower (very important place in University history; it was there that a riot started involving people from town and students, known as town & gown conflict), Halley House (the comet’s guy), Ashmolean Museum and Oxford Castle Unlocked. There will be a great deal of University stuffs to buy at the colleges and also in High Street. Go also to the Open Market, in High Street and Cornmarket Street. If you have time, try to enjoy the “British Food” at The Chequers (High Street near Carfax Tower). Well, that’s it. Hope you enjoy Oxford and all your trip to Europe.
